Our Mission

Rescue has always been important to us, but living in Texas has been both incredibly eye opening and devastatingly heartbreaking. As a volunteer at BARC, Houston's city shelter, I have worked with a group of incredible people, who dedicate 24/7 to networking euthanasia-listed dogs in the hopes that they can be saved. Some dogs aren't so lucky and find themselves still listed on the Code Red report at the 11th hour, when they can be euthanized at any moment.

The euthanasia-listed dogs are the babies that we focus on. We vet them, place them in wonderful foster homes in the Houston area, then they are available to be transported for adoption.

Our mission is to educate the public on the proper ways to care for a dog, work with officials to enact better laws to protect our pets, and encourage adoption rather than purchasing from a breeder.
